Nominated eight times at the Grammy Awards and won seven Canadian Juno Awards, Avril Lavigne surely has established a successful career in the music industry ever since she started on 2002 at the age of 17.

I can still remember listening to her first two albums when I was in high school, became a fan, and decided to wear a "Sk8er Boi" inspired ensemble during our Junior yr. Christmas party! 

Yup I even bought cropped pants, shirt, and borrowed bro's striped necktie just to make sure I look "Avril-ish" at the party. The best part is, me and my high school clique went to this bar in Eastwood to continue the celebration, while I'm wearing that outfit (and necktie!). Haha!

11 years after since her first album "Let Go", Avril released her fifth (self titled) album last November which includes the chart topping hit "Here's To Never Growing Up".

Skipping the video to 2:10, you would see Avril on skateboards wearing black shorts and white tank top, very reminiscent to her first music video "Complicated".

And this is her on the "Complicated" music video more than a decade ago. Not much difference right? From outfit to how she looks :) And ow, her trademark necktie again!

Wow! Either she looks old for a 17 yr. old before, or she still looks young at present! Indeed, here's to never growing up for her! 

Also successful on making unforgettable heart wrenching hits like "Happy Ending" and "Why", Avril released a single entitled "Let Me Go" which features her husband Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.
