Who among here are reminded by their dad whenever they smell SMB's Pale Pilsen? How about remembering your mom by chancing on some ballroom music? I'm sure many of us do!

Here in Greenhills Shopping Center's G-Strip though, there's a place for both your parents' favorite beer and old music: Musica Bar Greenhills, the "first music lounge" in Greenhills, San Juan!

Five businessmen (in their 40s - 50s) who happen to share a commonality in music opened Musica Bar in Greenhills' G-Strip to expand our interest to old music before it even gets left behind.

The place holds true to its name as you would literally envision the musical notes to be expected in the place.

The moment I heard their weekly line-up, I knew my dad would definitely love this place! On Mondays they have Bobby Mondejar & Friends playing folk and country music; Tuesdays it's the 70s; Wednesdays give us the 60s hits; Thursdays' a Jazz Night; Fridays we dance to Funky Retro while Saturdays play variety music.

Other bands that usually play at Musico Bar are Rockin' 60's, The Music Making Company, Cruzes and Route 70. MYMP played for one of those Thursday's Jazz Night too. Musica Bar Greenhills will bring you back to James Taylor, Eagles, Karen Carpenter, The Beatles, Sergio Mendez, Bee Gees, and even to some 90's favorites as well!

See that photo above? I don't think there's an age limit to define how fun that is! Most of their customers are 30 - 60yr. old professionals, but a family night-out with your teenagers won't be so bad either! 

You can also dine in and try some of their most ordered pizza like the Musica Pizza (topped with chorizo, rosemary, mushroom and parsley), Longganisa Pizza and Tomato Pizza. Regular crust costing P480 and thin crust costing P420.

I would encourage you guys to invite your parents and spend the night bridging the music generation gap. It is also good for balikbayan relatives looking for a good night spot. Musica Bar has also been a common suggestion for the alumni homecoming of the 80's to older batches. 

It's definitely nice to know there are places like Musica Bar Greenhills where parents can just get together and reminisce on the music they will always be tempted to boogie with!
