Meat our blends. With 8 Cuts Burger's tagline, you can tell that this is one of those slowly increasing number of "make-your-own" burger joints. Um okay, so why is a music blog even interested about it?

When my friend from U.P. told me about this burger place at UP Town Center that lets you choose which song to listen to through an app, I didn't think twice of checking it out! First for the curiosity, and second for the love of buns and patty...

The interior didn't surprise me as it resembles quite to its predecessor Burger Bar in Greenbelt, Makati. There are a lot of customers that time we came, late Friday night, and I felt the narrow long aisle upon entering made the place look small. But once you find a good zone to eat, it's actually inviting for casual conversations and comfort food!

"8 Cuts" represents the eight beet cuts which holds their five meat blends. It is almost similar to those at Burger Bar, except for their added treat - the Ox Blend from the 8th meat cut Ox tail.

Of course their visually fun magazine style menu is noteworthy too. Just for everyone to know, I have this pet peeves for menu. My usual sequence when I'm handed one is to check the menu's design / layout first even before the food and price itself. Haha!

We had skinny fries, their popular onion rings, and their heavy burgers! The barbecue spice on the onion rings went well with the burger sauce and patty. I wouldn't have enjoyed the burger that much if it weren't for it... or maybe just because I really love (esp.the crispy ones) onion rings? LOL. The leveled-up shakes are tempting too, they have Nutella, Speculoos Cookie Butter, Nuteloos and Butterfinger  - but all those are my fave?? Gaaah!!

The best thing (alongside its music) about 8Cuts is its daily grind! Because they call it "The Boss and the Blends", aside from making your own burger from their choices of 5 blends, 3 buns and a number of toppings, their open kitchen also lets you see the step by step process on how your patties are made or custom-made :)

Finally we reached the main attraction - the music!

Some of the songs played while we were enjoying our food are Billy Idol's "Dancing With Myself" and The Cardigans' "Love Fool".

The 80's - 90's music goes well with the diner set-up, neon lights, & orange and blue color scheme. I felt like a character in a 90's burger diner hollywood scene!

I just love how 8Cuts give importance to music that aside from their social jukebox, they also provide live entertainment. They had 'She's Only Sixteen' live last January 29...

and even DJ AJ Tan who played some throwback hits for the customers...

Told you guys, we won't feature a burger joint just because of its burger, we'll feature them because of their fries too! Haha! Kidding! I would also like to commend their service, very accommodating and all smiles throughout the night. Good job! ;)

No doubt, the people behind 8 Cuts Burger Blends value the need for chill good music in a hang-out place for big groups, big laughs and big bites! With 8 Cuts Burger, from food to playlist... indeed we are the boss!
