KAMIKAZEE “HUMBLED” BY FAN REACTION TO ‘HULING SAYAW’
Filipino Rock Legends Set To Fill Araneta Coliseum For Farewell Show!
Kamikazee have admitted to being “humbled” by fan reaction after thousands snapped up tickets for their farewell show at the SMART Araneta Coliseum on December 10, 2015 8PM.
The 15,000-capacity venue looks set to be a sell-out with legions of Kamikazee fans having already made sure of their places at what is set to be the gig of the year. Over 1,000 tickets were sold in just minutes after they went on sale, while the standing section and several seated areas have already sold out.
“We’ve staged shows for Kamikazee, Gloc-9, Bamboo and Rivermaya in Dubai before but as this is the first we have promoted in Manila we are delighted with the response from the band’s fans,” said a spokesman for promotion and production company Spicy Lemon.
“It’s an honour for us to be involved with such an iconic band and to be able to stage a show at a venue as historic as the Coliseum.”
Kamikazee lead singer Jay Contreras admitted the band were excited at the thought of playing a farewell show for their dedicated followers.

“All of us in the band are blessed to have such amazing fans and we are truly humbled at their reaction to the ‘Huling Sayaw' show,” he said. “It’s been a long fifteen years and we have played thousands of shows but the ultimate for us would be to play to a full house of our own fans in one of the most historic venues in the Philippines.
“Kamikazee is not just me, Jomal, Led, Bordes and Puto - it’s us and all the fans together so it’s important we celebrate the history of this band with the people who have watched us grow, followed us for years and helped get us to where we are today. We need to say thank you.”
