ALL STAR COVER OF BEACH BOYS' "GOD ONLY KNOWS" FOR BBC MUSIC LAUNCH / COVER, DOWNLOAD

I've been repeating this epic cover the whole day and I chose not to listen to its original version being quite satisfied with this one already :)

But how can a 1966 Beach Boys cover bring together 27 of the most iconic music artists to form what they would call the "Impossible Orchestra"? The amazing ensemble was used to formally (and with much grandness) launch BBC Music, which is their newest addition to the conglomerate. The music service is an unprecedented initiative that aims to help emerging talent and at the same time bring classical music to schools.

All proceeds from the song's release will also go to the charity "Children In Need"

"God Only Knows" was shot at the Alexandra Palace Theatre in North London where BBC's first broadcast was held 90 years ago!

This is also not the first time BBC came up with a strategic music video for promotion and as well as for the benefit of "Children In Need". In 1997, BBC released a cover of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" which also features (29) various artists like David Bowie, Bono, Gabrielle, Tom Jones, Visual Ministery Choir, and many more.
