The American band Linkin Park is back to Manila to rock the Mall of Asia Arena on August 13, 2013 (8PM).
They started in 1996 when high school students from Southern California's Brad Delson (guitarist), Rob Bourdon (drummer) and Mike Shinoda (vocalist) formed a band named Xero. Adding to their line up after graduation were Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bassist), Joe Hahn (turntablist) and Mark Wakefield (lead singer). Unfortunately Xero didn't had a good start making Mark leave the group In 1999 and Chester taking over on vocals.
They changed their name from Xero to Hybird Theory, and to eventually landing with the band name Linkin Park which is derived from a misspelled Lincoln Park in Santa Monica.

LP released their debut album Hybrid Theory (in reference to the band's old name) in 2000 with two big hits: "Crawling" and "In The End".
The band's mix of electronic, metal and rap rock became one of the band's edge among others. They grabbed 3 major Grammy awards in 2002 alone for "Crawling" (Best Hard Rock Performance); Hybrid Theory (Best Rock Album) and for the band itself as Best New Artist.

They released their latest and 5th studio album 'Living Things' mid of last year with the lead single "Burn It Down". They came up with a new sound for 'Living Things' by combining elements from the four previous studio albums. It is named Living Things because of the different topics that comprise the album.
LP's lucky opening act is Urbandub! Linkin Park Living Things World Tour 2013 is brought to us by Scala Events.
