Justin Bieber heard this song on the radio while visiting home (Canada) for Christmas vacation. He tweeted about the song and even made a video together with Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale etc., which then brought Carly Rae Jepson to stardom. 

But Carly Rae Jepsen made sure that she's not just any other one hit wonder. Her collaboration with Owl City titled "Good Time" became a successful hit as well, making it to the top 10 chart for both artist. 
Her next album "Kiss" was released last September of 2012, with the single "This Kiss" which also did good on the music charts. Because of her success, Carly Rae Jepsen was named 'Billboard's Rising Star of 2012" and 2012's American Music Award Best New Artist. Carly's latest single "Tonight, I'm Getting Over You" is also currently doing good and has gained popularity as well.
