WHAT: GLEE WANTS TO KNOW - ARE YOU A KATY OR A GAGA

Just like when music videos of Lady Gaga's "Applause" and Katy Perry's "Roar" were released two days apart, Gaga and Katy fanatics are at it again to hashtag overload on almost the same day! 

This is because of Lady Gaga's new single "Do What U Want" feat. R. Kelly (yeah call it awkward) which was released yesterday October 21 and Katy Perry's new album "Prism" which will be released today. Coincidentally, Lady Gaga will also be releasing her latest album "Art Pop" on November 11, more than two weeks after Katy Perry's album release. 

I didn't see their rivalry coming though, but apparently there is for some. Nora - Vilma lang ang peg!




The pop superstar battle paved way for Glee's fourth episode for season 5 titled "A Katy or a Gaga?" this Nov. 7 which pays homage to the two pop divas. 


Adam Lambert will also be joining the pop-filled episode so better get ready for some crazy costumes and over the top performances. Bland and ordinary is never synonymous to these three (including Lambert) artists!

The truth is, it was upon seeing the Glee ad that I became aware of this year's a-POP-calypse. Yeah the "Roar" and "Applause" race to Billboard was not enough for me to compare them. But since the two (who also first both made it to the top 100 on 2008) is offering us two new albums before the year ends, we'll see who deserves the top spot! Careful though as Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball is smashing the Billboard walls for some weeks now.

I personally enjoy this mashup of Katy Perry's "Roar" and Lady Gaga's "Applause" by DJ BFMIX, listening to it felt like wanting to celebrate with all the confetti and crowd!:)
